On the look out for quick and easy pattterns!

I'm always looking for quick and easy patterns that can easily be done while doing other things (watching tv or waiting at doctor appointments). I am currently working on flower shaped dishcloths. Ideally I would like items that only call for one or two colors.
I'm also looking for an adult ladies shrug pattern.

Thinking about trying my hand at doilies as well.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

It's not much of an idea ,but sounds like you would like a sampler afghan. 4" or 6" squares of different patterns . Knit & crochet Today has done some of those.It's a pbs TV show and a website too.
