    I’m not sure what the name is either but it is a really pretty stitch. If you ever find the name please let us know, I for one can see using it in some projects.

    I'm not sure how many chains to do but it's probably up to you. sc is in 2nd ch from hook and figure out how many v sts. you want to know how many chains you need.

    It could be sc, ch 2, sc on one row

    row 2: dc, ch 2 or 3 and dc (a dc v stitch or it could be a triple crochet v stitch) in the ch 2 sp of the previous row

    row 3: sc in the ch space, ch 2 or 3 and sc in the next ch sp Repeat rows 1-3

    I'm not sure if this is right.

    This looks like the "Tulip Stitch". You can find it on YouTube along with the instructions/tutorial.
