    Thick slipper soles

    Hi

I am looking for a pattern or idea for a fairly hard sole for a slipper that feels cushy to the wearer. It is for severely arthritic feet. I would appreciate any ideas.

    Thank you!

I may try the idea for the boot inserts for my daughter, she goes through slippers like lightening!

I have been purchasing material from Fabricland that you use on bottom of baby sleepers so as to not slip. I cut the shape out and serge the edge to finish it off. I then hand sew on with a sturdy thread. Has given me extended life to slippers. At most I might have to sew a bit periodically because I wear them so much. All in all a little extra work for long life. I gift a lot, and everyone loves them with no complaints at all. I also use a double sole for the slippers with yarn but only single sole for blanket. I've also used puff dots on blanket.
