Smile Old cashmere coats for yarn?

I love the feel of cashmere on my skin. What do you think of using them for yarn? Got about 4-5 of them in the closet, collecting dust. Opinions? Ideas? Thoughts? Criticisims? Name-calling? Honestly, need some help here.

I know someone who goes into the thrift stores and buys sweaters for the yarn, so I say go for it as long as you can get the yarn unraveled it is a good idea to reuse I think.

"Repurposing" is HUGE right now. I know some of us have gone to Goodwill or garage sales and found afghans to unravel to repurpose the yarn. Why not do the same with a sweater - especially for cashmere!

I just bought a whole mess of repurposed cashmere yarn on E-bay. Can't wait to start playing with it. I think you have a wonderful idea, if the yarn is indeed salvageable. Best of luck!
