I asked the admin on the site what size crochet hook they used and they replied 1.8 mm which is an equivalent of a size 3 steel hook. That seems kinda small to me but thought I'd post what they replied.

I was wondering what size hook to use but that is way smaller than I want to work with. Looking at the picture it doesn't seem to be that small stitching. The last thing I made was with a "Q" and bulky, soft yarn. I loved it. I found another pattern for a hat and am working on it right now. When I am finished with it I may tackle this one especially since you went to the work of translating it for me.
    Thanks again. M

I will also attach my symbol diagram.

Sometimes i find it easier to just play around and try swatches to see if i can figure out the pattern. Attachment 6651
Thanks for sharing this! I appreciate it as I have one that I've been trying to 'translate' and the symbols threw me for a loop! Thanks again!!

I've been trying this one out and so far its not working out. I tried using a "f" hook but its turning out odd. So I wouldn't blame you to skip this one.... I'm considering it lol

It really is, but following the pattern with even the f hook its turning out too big. I think I might take out a few of the first rows instead of going to a hook that small. Maybe...
