    making a mouth

    Good Morning

I need to make a mouth for my Larry The Cucumber amigurumi. The original designer suggests gluing on a felt mouth but I am giving this to my 14 month old granddaughter who will certainly bite it off.
How would I crochet something that looks like a U shape, straight on top and rounded at the bottom. It would need to be single crochet.
I have attached the designer's photo so you can see what it is to look like. I will embroider the teeth in white.
    Your thoughts?

After crocheting the letter u you could attach it to Larry the cucumber and then stitch it w/thread and needle how you want it to look.

Hi Teri! What a great gift that will be....love Veggie Tales. I didn't know there were crochet patterns for them. I would love to see a picture of your finished Larry. I bet he will be the star of the show.

He's perfect! You did an awesome job figuring out his mouth. Thanks also for sharing your pattern source. I will have to take a look at that. Right now we are remodeling a house with a move at the end of this month, so time is at a premium.

Thank you and you are welcome ....
So you will be moving. That is an exciting but tedious task. Best of luck on the move!
