    Yarn over vs yarn under

    Helllo,
I found this on the Internet and thought is was interesting. The pros and cons of do you yarn over or do you yarn under.

I have always done yarn over but Choiyuk96 posted a pattern for baskets that did the sc using yarn under. It was strange at first but I finally got the hang of it. It does make a tighter stitch which was good for a basket. I like learning new things in crochet.

Well, what do you know! I never would have thought to crochet that way, but I can clearly see the benefit when crocheting a basket and tighter tension is needed. Please share your basket when done Spoula.

Hello Momto8, I never finished the basket because it was not big enough for my books and I didn't have enough yarn to make it bigger. Below is the link so you can see the basked and the yarn under stitch. That made the sides stand up better and they look like knit stitches.
