    Help Reading Crochet Pattern

Hello! I'm a beginner to crochet so still very much learning. I wondered if anyone could help me with deciphering the below crochet pattern.

    Round 13 dc30, (dc4, dc2tog) 3 times (45)
    Round 14 dc

I've done Round 13, but what does Round 14 mean? Is that just one dc stitch or is it a repeat of Round 13?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello pashleyrider23, Welcome to the forum.

Without seeing the pattern with just what you wrote I would say after row 13 you have 45 dc and row 14 would be to do dc in all of the 45 from row 13.

What does row 15 say to do that should give you a clue as well.

Let us know if you need further help.

    Hi Spoula

Thanks so much for your quick reply! I think that makes sense... the next ones if it helps is:

    Rnd 15: (dc1, dc2tog) 15 times (30)
    Rnds 16-20 dc (5rnds)

So from Rnd 13 I'm starting to decrease as all the rounds up to this point involved dc2 into the next stitch and increasing the number each time. I'm making the body of a soft toy (a bunny)!

    Thanks again!

You are welcome pashleyrider23, Reading Rnd 15 that was right you had 45 dc substract 15 for the dc2tog and you get 30 dc at the end of the rnd.

Thank you for writing back that helps us when we help someone we don't always get a reply back if our instructions helped or not.

So glad it worked out for you and we look forward to see a picture of your final toy.

I never tried to make toys. Once I made some little bunnies they were so small and once my grandson started to play with them they looked deranged. I prefer to make baby things.

    Thank you Spoula!

So Round 14 is just to do 45 dc stitches or is it an exact repeat of Round 13? Sorry for so many questions! I do find the instructions confusing sometimes, but I guess you get used to it!

I will share a picture when I finish! I am pregnant with my first baby so this is a gift for him but maybe I'll venture onto baby things too next

Hello Pashleyrider23, You are correct you have been decreasing the number through RND:15 now you will do 5 rounds of 30 DC,
