If I put the magic knot or any knot in my crocheting, my grandma would reach down from heaven and smack me upside my head. We were taught to never, ever put a knot in our work.

    Hi dafydil.
That's funny. I don't like knots in my crocheting either although I have used knots when they say on a video that they tie the 2 yarn ends together. I usually put the new yarn through the last 2 loops of the stitch and continue crocheting. I have tried other ways of joining yarn but don't like them.

If I find yarn tied together I will take it apart.
