    Smile new project

My daughter is almost ready to deliver her 4th! Due date is February 22....so I bought and began this pattern. It is a challenge, but I am no stranger to amigurumi.

I am currently working on the hair which is what scaring me. All parts are already completed except for the baby's blanket that is made from DK cotten embroidery thread. I have to yet pick that up.

So far it looks right LOL

Oh thanks.....I love making amigurumi. This one is a bit difficult. I just sewed the body, head and arms on last night. Next comes the hair. To make the hair you wrap worsted yarn around a bamboo skewer and then steam it with an iron. I have not removed the yarn from the skewers yet LOL....It is snowing a lot here, so if we are unable to go out or I can not go to work this afternoon, I am going to attempt taking the hair off the skewers today and adding them to the head....now this part scares me LOL

    Hi Teri,
The mother and child doll is absolutely wonderful! I hope you will post a photo of yours when you get it finished. I have never seen a pattern for this doll. Your daughter will love it. Good luck with the hair!!
