Graph patterns
I have been looking to make a blanket by using a graph. Its a sports team with all different colors. I was wondering if anyone has tried this because there is so many color changes i wondered if you just tie off all these ends or is the a better way to do it!! Thanks for any help anyone has for me!! Hi Npiacente,
I have made several graphgans and enjoy making them. Depending on the colors you are working with you may need several small balls of each color to work with. You will carry each color as you work the graph. As one color ends the next color begins. Once you get the hang of it it's very easy and fun to see the picture evolve.
Happy crocheting,
Jo Ann

When you say carry each color, do you mean you crochet with one color over the other color until you need to use the other color. I have not tried this before, and am not sure how to do this.

Yes, you will crochet with one color until you have to change colors following a graph. You then work off one and add the next. You may have several balls that you are working with.

Thank you for the link! I learned a lot. I am currently making a graph Southwest design pillow and am actually doing it correctly, except I am not using the bobbins, just the skeins. I have several pieces of yarn that are pulled across in the back. If I had seen this tutorial before, I would have used the bobbins. Now, I can't wait to make the second one and use them!
Thanks again!
