    Hiding carried yarn

I've just finished a shawl where you change colors every two rows and carry the yarn. The problem is now I have a long line of loose loops along half of the top edge. Does anyone have any ideas on a pretty, minimal edge I can go over these with?

Thank you. I think I'll try the half double for a little more coverage.

How about a crab stitch or a twisted single crochet? You can find tutorials for them on Moogly.

The shell stitch always looks nice on most shawls for a trim and is really easy to do. You can search and find tons of trims to choose from too! Good luck!

A small shell is actually what I decided to do. Great minds think alike!

The twisted single crochet is cool! I always have problems doing the crab stitch. Love Moogly. Thanks so much!

You're very welcome. My hands get all crampy when I do the crab stitch so when I saw the twisted single crochet I loved it. Moogly has a new video on the twisted double crochet and I love that one too. Moogly is a great site. She's taught me so much but no matter how much I try I just can't get the hang of the foundation single crochet. I can do the foundation part okay but when I go to crochet back into it I'm lost.

I love foundation crochets. It's so much easier for me than working back into a chain, but I can't think how to describe it that would make sense. Sorry! Have you tried doing a sample with really large stitches so that you can see it better?

Hi Laura. No, I haven't tried that but I'll give it a shot. Moogly probably has a tutorial for it. I'll have to check and see. Thanks.
