Well, I managed to get to see them by right-clicking on the photo and choosing "open link" before that dad-blasted Pinterest put that black page across the screen. By doing that right-click it took me right to Etsy and I got to see the very pretty needle books. Wouldn't those make nice gifts for Christmas!

I have used grannies to make eyeglass cases (lined with felt hand stitched in place). I put 2 grannies together for each side then I crochet a border around each rectangle until I get the size I want. Then crochet them together on the 2 long and one short side. You can add a flap if you like. I also make 1 larger granny, fold it in half and crochet the sides together, then I pick up stitches on the open side and make a flap, decreasing the sides and put a loop on the center and stitch on a button. Of course I hand stitch some felt to the granny before assembling.

What I want to know is this...what do you stuff a pincushion with? I really need a new pincushion bad because the stuffing is coming out the pinholes like sawdust or something. I want to make a jar pincushion but can't tell what they stuff it with! Anyone know what to stuff it with???? Patty

I have the same problem with pinterest.... I can't ever get the patterns I want. I just look occasionally and then I just do my own thing whatever that might be!
