Question What is your favourite type of project?

Please copy the text between the horizontal lines.
Then beside each type of project, please enter in order of your favourites, which type of project you like to do. # 1 = most favourite, #15 = still like to make it, but not as much as the others.
"RULES" You can have a 3-way tie at the most, but no 4-way or higher ties.
What is your favourite type of project?

The majority of my crochet projects are for charitable organizations. As much as thread items are just exquisite, I find it difficult to work with thread. Larisa, I envy you with your thread work.

I like your white squirrel avatar...and it does truly announce your passion for doilies. You filet piece in your profile avatar is stunning. Do you mostly work with size 80, 30, 20, or 10 thread? I really like thread, but am disappointed that my eyes go blurry after a while. New glasses will be possible in July when my health benefit coverage renews, so till then, it's magnifying lenses.
Do you have several favourite doilies you make over and over? Do you have a collection of doily magazines and patterns that you use or do you use websites with patterns? Do you design your own (wouldn't that be fun?)?

Afghans! Wow. I have yet to stitch one. Always seems like a daunting project. I knit a baby blanket 30 years ago and it took me what felt like forever to a teenage boy, so I think in my mind I have a preconception that afghans would take forever, even though I know in crochet, it would go a lot faster. Do you share photos here or on Flickr or Ravelry of your afghans?

Hello ! Thank you for kind words! I prefer thread #30 and I use #40 2 strands together. I have some paper magazines and I have big pattern collection in my PC. I rechart filet patterns and designed may be 2 of my own ones but I am not an artist at all. I love to make bruges style doilies again and again! Larisa

Not very informative, is it. Living in perpetual summer is not very conducive to creating much in the way of medium to heavyweight items. I do make lightweight garments suitable as a coverup for wearing into restaurants where the air-conditioning is set at very cool temps.

I'm often tempted to make an afghan or throw as a décor statement for the living room but haven't seen any suitable designs yet. Thus far, I haven't sat down and seriously tried to create my own design. Perhaps someday!
