    Question

I have to sew the liner in by hand and it is very hard to get the stitches perfect. Is there an easier way to do it? It doesn't take me long to crochet the bag, but it takes me forever to get the liner in the way I want it to look. Any creative ideas?

The only thing I can think of would be to use no sew tape or glue, but that can get messy.

Could you use a hot glue gun? Has anyone ever tried that?

I'm sure you could but it might be rather messy.. you'd probably be better off using no sew tape..

When you get the bag body completed- make a paper pattern- this is not my idea- came from a dear friend- lay it on top of fabric- cut out- leave a seam allowance- sew sides, ect and turn right side out then you shoud only have the top to stich on your bag. Turn under seam allowance and stich as neatly as you can- then don't worry about it. I haven't watched how the main lady on here does it- she's probably got something better. Just my 2 cents worth.

A lot of us are making purses. I have one almost completed- the one me2la posted - fat bottom bag- and it is sooooooooooo pretty. Like a dummy, I was anxious to see what it looked like, so didn't line it first! Duh! Now it will be harder to line, but not impossible. I looked at Dearest Debi's post and that is what I was trying to explain to Ya'll, she said it so much better, should have looked at hers before I opened my big mouth. Cart before the horse- t hat's me! LOL There are lots of bag pattern for free..... try one and most of all have fun!
