Just a quick question, do you make it in a figue 8? if so do you twist the base to start?

no just straight stitch threw out, just make sure your chain is not twisted when doing 1st round. when it's all done wrap around once and you get the twisted effect = )

What type of yarn did you use?

I used Caron Simply Soft and for my third one in white I used Bernat Happy Holiday, has a little simmer to it, very pretty
