    I googled 'Catherine wheel' and the picture looks like the same stitch.

    This is a nice pattern stitch; quite unusual for crochet, don't you think. Almost looks like some other craft.

    Hi MeToo, A lady on this forum posted a picture of a purple and white baby dress that had that flower stitch around the waistline. I made that dress but without the flowers because I didn't know how to do that stitch. I didn't have the pattern that would have told me what the name of that stitch was I made the dress by looking at the picture. After I finished the dress I looked on the Internet to see if I could find it and I did under the website The Crochet Crowd. It was called the Catherine Wheel. I wish I would have looked before I finished the dress as it is a very pretty stitch.
