    Hi to all!
I have been crocheting a long time!! I learned at about age 12 & am now in my 60's. I love working with thread, usually #30. I have graduated to Clover Soft hooks due to arthritis (love my boye hooks, hands not so much anymore) I love the vintage patterns & have collected more than I'll ever be able to do! I am so happy to have found this crochet group.

Welcome to the forum. I am old as dirt and learned some crochet stitches from my mother many years ago. I stared with a #10 hook AND #20 cotton thread. I didn't learn until later there was bigger hooks and yarn. I fell in love all over again with crochet. I had many crochet books with vintage patterns but in moving around the country so much I lost them or threw them out wish I still had them.

Join the club! I was first taught to crochet when I was in my late teens by an older woman where I worked at my first job. Well, she started me out with a teeny tiny steel hook and a doily. Shaking My Head...it turned out so horrible.

However, it got me going! It finally occured to me that, hey, there's bigger hooks and bigger yarn out there!
