Just getting started here, trying to figure this site out!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Winter, I'm 23, and I love to crochet. I'm kind of in the advanced beginner catagory of the craft, but I'm learning a lot with every project I tackle. I'm expecting a baby girl in July, so I've been especially busy looking for and making baby things.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can get the most out of this site? I'm still trying to figure it out and would love some pointers or advice!

Welcome to the group! It is nice to have you here! There are alot of resources in the links and resources thread, if you are looking for ideas to crochet. In the pattern requests thread are requests from members to help find patterns they are looking for. If you would like to share photos with the group, there is a thread called pictures.

To get the most out of the group, we would love to see you check into the group on a regular basis. We love to share what we are doing, as well as have other conversations. Let us know if you need anything and we will do our best to help you.

Hi Winter! And welcome to the forum! And congrats on your baby girl! Is she your first? There are tutorials on this site that are very helpful on learning new stitches. The easiest way to get to know this site is to just jump right in! And join in on the conversations as much as you can! Before long you will feel like one of the family!

Thank you everyone for making me feel welcome! This is my second child. I have a four year old boy, also. He loves to model the hats I make and has cherished a particular blue hat I made him years ago and kept track of it faithfully. He finally out grew it so I made him a new one out of a neon green yarn he picked out. He calls his new hat the 'booger hat'!
Although he has no interest in crochet himself, he loves to see my new creations, and is waiting anxiously for me to attempt to make a sock monkey for him!
