Question Kia ora from a NZ newby.

I taught myself to crochet when
I was 6 when I watched my mother crochet curtains in 1946!
Although I dabbled on and off through the years it is only in the last few years that I have achieved more after retirement.
In the 80's I was immersed in filet crochet making a table cover, table runner and bed spread. Now that I am a grandmother I am fascinated by the age range for crochet slippers which I've provided our extended family with. Also cowls and infinity scarves.Am about to embark on some granny square cushions having bought the yarn as colou rcorordinated kits.

Thank you everyone for your warm welcoming.
My next project is to make some slipper boots with vegan suede pads on soles.

Thank you. Joining your group is quite exciting as I am a lone 'crocheter' living in the country and crochet is only really catching on (again) in NZ M.

Welcome! I loved to filet crochet back when I was a young teenager, and would make these fancy doilies for bridal showers at our church. The new wives loved them, and I loved all the feedback and comments I would get as they were passed around the circle at the shower.
