Filet crochet
Hello I'm new to this but a old crocheter. My favorate is filet in yarn which
I like alot. I do design some of my own. I also like to crochet the kitty corner afghans. I also make hats for cancer patients as my daughter had breast cancer and got me started on it. I have been married 53 yr. 2 children and 2 grandchildren, all adults. So my baby things I make to sell.
I have been crocheting for over 35 yr.Because of my eyes I only crochet in yarn now.

Hi Charlye and welcome to Crochet Talk! Recently, I learned to Filet crochet using crochet thread. It is a wonderful and challenging technique! I also knit and crochet hats for cancer patients. After I have finished making several hats, I send them to Knots of Love... It's a pleasure to meet you!

I love filet crochet but only do it in yarn. The first yarn filet afghan I did was for a bridal shower, then I did the same one for a local fair and won a second place ribbon. Just bought a new leaflet from Leisure Arts called Filet Afghans. Has some nice ones. I have a couple of pieces that say Welcome done in thread by my mom years ago. I used to work with thread but since I am so used to yarn, I don't do thread.
