    What is this?

It was in the sewing box.

The clear plastic is the cover. The one looks like a latch hook but what is it for? And what is the red plastic thing on the right? Is it a cover too? The red plastic thing has a little hole on the end of the flat part in the center of it that can go over the latch hook thing but is that what it's for?(a cover?)

    It's a seam ripper!!

Dunno about the holes, but the clear plastic is just so you don't stab thing with it when not in use.
(the hole may be an anti-choking device like Bic brand pens have).

er, but i only know what the middle thing is, couldn't quite tell ya the rest!

Jean Marie, it is a seam ripper. I have a blue one. You can use the small red cap on the right to cover the metal part so you don't stick your fingers. The clear one on the left you put on the bottom of the middle one to give you a better grip when picking out threads in stronger material. You can also turn it around and put it on top of the one in the middle for a top.

The one on the right is the seam ripper. The one on the left looks just like a latch hook but it's not a latch hook unless it's a tiny latch hook.

What is a latch hook? If it was in your sewing box don't you know what it is? Or are you trying to stump us? Ha funny

I have been sewing for years and years and I have used a seam ripper lots of times the best use I found lately is when I cross stitch and mess up and have to rip out the thread it works beautifully.

I hope you figure it out.

    Hi Spoula,
Haven't you ever done a latch hook rug? and No I'm not trying to stump you. I don't know what it's for.

latch hook rug kits for beginners - Google Search

after clicking the google website(copy and paste it into your browser is a safer way instead of just clicking on it but I don't always do that) you can click on 'how to do latch hook for beginners' and there will be a video on how to do latch hook.

Hi Spoula, is that what the tiny latch hook (pictured above) is for? to take out threads in cross stitch?

I was going to post a picture of the latch hook w/some of the pre-cut yarn but I need to charge the batteries for the camera. I already took the picture but I can't upload it on the computer until the batteries are charged.

Thanks ramblyambly! I should've thought of going to google. The tiny latch hook is a knit picker latch hook.
