    Do you crochet without looking?

After crocheting for many years I still look at my crocheting when I'm crocheting. What about you?

Hi Jean Marie, No, I pretty much look at my crochet while I am making something. I like to see it start taking shape.

I was asking: If you are crocheting a dc stitch or even another stitch do you have to look at your work to crochet the stitch? Can you crochet without looking at your work at all? I look at my work. I can look up for a second or so but then I look back at my work and normally I just look at my work while crocheting. It goes faster if I can see what I'm doing.

Actually for a double crochet stitch I have to look to see where to put the hook in. I can crochet the yarn over but then I have to look to see where to put the hook in and then I can finish the stitch without looking but since I have to look to see where to put the hook I normally look at my work.
