I posted about the book 'The Barbarians Are Here'. It talks about how we need to get back to the Word of GOD. It's written by a pastor, Michael Youssef.

Finished America's First Great Eclipse by Steve Ruskin when the eclipse was over the Rocky Mountains in 1878. My mother was from Colorado and I knew many of the towns mentioned. Good read.

    Books I've been reading

I have been reading all of the Janet Evanovich books, especially the Stephanie Plum series. I love her stories and I laugh out loud!

A friend and I are both reading Lonesome Dove
I never was on the band wagon when it was popular and when the mini-series on TV came out.

Excellent, Excellent, books by Charles Todd. Winspear is great too. P D James, M C Beaton, Michael Jecks, Elizabeth Peters, Louise Penny, all great authors. Just found British Classic Crime Library books written during the wars.

I just finished the book "All the Flowers in Shanghai", by Duncan Jepson, for my book club. The book club has read Lisa See's "Shanghai Girls" and 'Dreams of Joy". Duncan Jepson is no Lisa See. We just had our meeting today and we all agreed he needs to stick to his day job as a lawyer and leave book writing to others who can do it better. There were some Chinese historical things we all enjoyed finding out about, but it wasn't a very happy read. A real "downer" of a book. I do not recommend it!
