    WOW!...What A Special Day!

I had planned to go to the movies to see "Barbershop...The Next Cut" today. My older daughter had checked the show time for me. As I drove closer to the theater, I noticed that the parking lot was empty. Not a car in sight, other than a couple of employee's cars in their parking spaces. My first thoughts were that the the theater was closed.

But I looked toward the ticket booth and saw an employee(ticket taker) inside. I walked up to the booth and told him what movie I had come to see. The time I gave him was for a showing only held on the weekends 'cuz the teenaged employees would be availabe to work and not in school. The marquee listed a time 3 hour later for the first showing during the week. I told him I'd be back at that time.

I walked to my car when all of a sudden the ticket taker was frantically waving at me outside my car. I opened my door and he said that the manager said he would give me a private screening of the movie if I wanted. I said YES! When I entered the theater, it was dark, the manager was standing on post alongside another man. I paid for my ticket and the ticket-taker escorted me to the particular theater where this movie was being shown. He told me it was one of the larger theater rooms.

Please understand, no other movies were being shown at this time. I had a true private screening of this movie. I was the ONLY person watching a movie in the theater. And to top it off, it was the FIRST time in my life, that I'd gone to the movies alone. What a special day! It was God's Favor!

My story is about my washer and dryer. I have not had a dryer for 2 years and have been hanging things all over my laundry room except on warm days. My washer gave out this past weekend so I thought I would have to do the laundry by hand till we got paid in a couple weeks. I was going to go to the dollar store and buy some rubber gloves so I could do them. Something told me to tell my fiance' that we should stop and at least look for a set just to see what it would cost to rent to own one. We stopped in at a rental place and went in before we went to the dollar store. We explained to the man what we were looking for and why we were looking. We didn't have any money at the time to put anything on it. He gave us the paper to fill out and next thing we knew he said he could deliver it the very next day even though we didn't have anything to put down on it and he waived the tax on it for the first payment so I didn't have to do anything by hand after all. I truly believe that God is the one that let it happen. I have rented to own before and always had to have something down on it before I could get it. What a wonderful blessing from Him. He also allowed our little yard sale do better this past weekend than it ever did before. So I believe we got a double favor this time. God is so wonderful.

While out shopping, I found the special item that I had envisioned for an upcoming event! God's Favor, I know!

And it was the only one of its kind left on the shelf!

What wonderful stories! Butterflyrose, I would have been afraid to go into a totally empty theater by myself. I praise the Lord that it turned out well for you and that you had a great day. And sonnetta, what a blessing for you. God is truly good. My story is about my Ezra. He's my 2 year old Boston Terrier. About 3 years ago my husband and I talked about getting another dog. He wasn't too sure, but gave in to me. So I started researching the different breeds on the Internet. For some reason, I kept returning to the Boston Terriers. I had never even seen one until I started looking on the internet. I found and called a breeder in PA and made an appointment to go there to see the dogs. So my husband and I took a ride up there (we live in NJ) and before we got into the house, this little black and white puppy came running out to us. He started jumping up on us and it was love at first sight. We celebrated his second birthday in April. He's bigger than I expected (34 lbs) but we love him soooo much. I keep a pillow behind my back when I sit on the couch, and he stretches out on top of the pillow and sleeps behind me. He's there now. I prayed quite often for the Lord to give me the right dog, and I know that He led me to Ezra. I have know idea why I named him Ezra. Perhaps that was the Lord's idea, too.

Thanks mkp! Knowing that God loves and cares for me, I trust God to keep me safe. I asked Him to allow me to experience and have new adventures and firsts... in my life. And He does!

Your Ezra truly sounds like a blessing in your life! Enjoy every moment with him. Btw, Ezra is a beautiful name.

That special item was the luggage piece that I wanted for my vacation in Minnesota. It's black/white houndstooth...a beautiful piece! Easily identifiable when it was time to do luggage claim at the airport!

Susan, I am sorry you are still a caregiver, but God Bless you for sticking with it. I stuck with my husband until the end. It has almost been 2 years. I never have regretted it. God will be with you.
God blessed me with a wonderful companion. We have been going together for 9 months now. he is a wonderful person.
