    Your blanket is terrific for a first project! And even with all the crocheting I've done, tension can still be problem.

    for sure, that is important....I usually end up putting an edging on an afghan cause I can seldom seem to get all the edges exactly straight....adds a nice touch but a lot of extra work....still trying to do it right the first time....maybe watching TV while I'm working has something to do with it?
