    Smile HI!

Hello Everyone! My name is Peggy and I am retired and Grandma to 4 wonderful munchkins. I've crocheted a bit in the past, but am getting hooked on it lately. I find myself trying many things and tearing out a lot of them, but in the process I am learning and having fun. I've also been looming and quilling and loving that, too.

I look forward to pleasant hours spent in your company.

    Peggy,

It is a pleasure to meet you! I am glad to hear you enjoy crocheting! What projects have you been working on lately?

<What projects have you been working on lately?>

    Hi Barbara,
At Christmastime I loomed scarves and hats for my two youngest grandkids. A friend and I take a daily walk at a nearby lake and during the summer, we would go early when it got too hot in the house and sit in the shade and crochet/loom and visit - it was so pleasant. Since my crochet skills are still pretty empirical, I've been doing dishcloths, hotpads, and headbands. A good chance to practice different stitches. Now I am trying tawashis. I worked on one last night and it turned into a flower which I tied on a headband and it's not bad.

Here are some pictures of my recent projects, both loomed and crocheted:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35458235/100_2117.JPG (my second loom project - a scarf done in baby alpaca yarn - so yummy!)
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35458235/100_2223.JPG hat and scarf for my youngest granddaughter - she's 7 and a real girly girl! (loomed)
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35458235/100_2111.JPG hat for grandson - 9. He also got a scarf to match (loomed)
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35458235/100_2231.JPG two headbands, crocheted - the top one has the tawashi-turned-flower tied on - bottom one has a button
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35458235/100_2232.JPG headband with the crocheted flower - my first try and some of those stitches!

Hope it's OK to post the pictures here instead of the Photos folder. I'll post there from now on.

Thank you for your nice welcome!

Hello! Thanks for sharing your picture links! I love the blues in your grandsons hat and my daughter would absolutely love to have a hat and scarf set like you created! Wonderful!

I look forward to seeing more in the near future! By the way is dropbox a free service?

Yes, Dropbox is free and it is a snap to use. I use it exclusively to insert pictures into emails and on all the groups I belong to (such as this and Yahoo groups). You should check it out!

Thank you for your kind remarks!
