    Cool I am a newbie!!!

Hi.. I am BeeJae...72 years young.
I have been crocheting for 50 years...currently making blankets for a silent auction for an animal shelter..and for OPERATION NORTH POLE a charity for terminally ill kids.
Love my dog PARKER, a Bichon-poodle mix..
Even though I have RA. we do get in 3 - half hour walks each day .
Love to cook and garden also.

Bee: How wonderful you are able to walk 3 times per day. Our Lola (Staffordshire terrier/Pitbull) wants to go out, we get all ready, she will hear a sound that we can't hear and want to head back home. Right now it is too warm at 95 to walk anyway. I crochet baby blankets for Project Linus and also some full afghans for a boy's ranch. So nice that you give your projects to those charities. I am 66, retired and have four grandchildren. Welcome to CT and we will talk again soon. Shirley

Welcome to CT. It is a great site and very friendly and helpful fellow crocheters.

I also love to walk, do it daily (weather permitting) anywhere from 5 to 10 miles a day. I find it so rewarding to be able to crochet my afghans, hats, scarves and now prayer shawls for those in need. My next project is pet beds for the animal shelters so the animals can lay on something soft.

Roeanna: I did not realize that you walked that far!!! Good for you. When it is hot at 95-100 degrees I don't walk although I should! I did finish my pink prayer shawl but for some reason I can't get it to attach so I can show everyone!!! Good idea to do pet beds! Love, Shirley
