I was about 8 when my mom had me crochet the first row on pillow cases for the club's bazars that she belonged to. When I was pregnant with my first child I taught myself to read crochet patterns and made several sweater sets for my baby who was a boy. I even put the pink set on him, he looked so cute. That was 55 years ago. Boy how time flys!

Hi grama37! Welcome, welcome, welcome here! I could just imagine your little boy then in a pink sweater set I do not have daughters so I think that's really funny. And yes, time really flies so fast. It seems it was just recently that I attended my Junior-Senior's Prom. Now, I have my oldest son looking down and grinning at me with his arms on my shoulders. Argh! But still, for me, age is just a number. What really matters is how you feel deep inside my dear

Welcome grama--I'm Gigi (grandmother to two --a boy and a girl) so I know what you're talking about. Doesn't seem real but it is better than the alternative.
Glad to have you join the group!
