    Red face joan8

I live on the coast off North Carolina and have been crocheting for 42 years. Being left handed, no one in my family could teach me. Then I moved to a subdivision of Bay City, Michigan called Bangor. A wonderful lady moved in next to us and she being lefty also, taught me. What a wonderful gift she gave me!!
A "thank you" to anyone that passes forward to hand arts of our ancestors.
they will be lost if we don't. This is how i thank my neighbor's kindness.
I have learned the knit, tatt, and cross stitch over the years and all these arts have and still do give me peace and pleasure. I make things for friends and family. Having a large and growing family always keeps me busy.
I'm always looking for patterns showing American Indian designs. Anyone looking for a pattern of any type, I'd be glad to help.

I am left handed too but I crochet right handed. Its the only thing i do right handed. I was taught by right handers. I am glad you found someone to show you how to crochet left handed. I have been trying to teach myself to Knit but having a difficult time and I think a lot of it is that I am left handed and trying to do it right handed.
God will never put more on your plate then you can handle.

    Hello,

Welcome to the crochet community here! We are glad you are with us and look forward to learning more about you!

We do have some American Indian resources here listed on site. You can use the search box function in the upper right hand corner. You can use the word American Indian, Indian, or Native and should be results...
