i'm new to this group but have been crocheting for 43 years. i'm retired (health issues), but continue to make baby blankets for friends and family, prayer shawls for my church, baby hats for a local hospital (also through church), and mats for a local animal shelter. i like to feel useful!

thank you both for your welcomes! yes indeed, i have kitties!! i have 3 indoor only kitties, and 1 outdoor (sleeps in the garage when weather is bad or cold ) formerly feral mama (we fixed her and found homes for the kittens), and 2 outdoor boys that come for meals fairly regularly. the indoors include tiger (18 1/2 yrs old and a food controlled diabetic), tabby (16 1/2 and blind but happy and active), and julia (about 12 and the mama to 2 of my ds's kitties).

Wow, blind? I met over the spring a man who had a deaf cat...neatest thing to see....it looked like the cat was adhd....the owner put a bell around his neck; but since we were all prospecting he wasn't sure it was a good idea for the mountain lions...

Hello mamamiaow and welcome to the group. I'm Jan and I am mama to 5 kitties. 4 males and 1 female. And the female rules the other 4. She is the smallest but has proven to the others that she will tolerate NO CRAP off any of them. Glad you could join us. You will find us friendly and helpful. Have fun.
