    Hi.....I am just learning to crochet and am starting on coasters. Already did one but ripped it out. I don't think I read the pattern properly. Will try again.

    Welcome to the group! It is nice to meet you! I find watching a video and following it is more helpful for me when trying new projects. It seems the hardest thing for many people are following a written pattern, myself included.
