    Don't you just hate that?

I have spent nearly all day long working on the last few rows of this most recent afghan, in the hopes of getting it finished today. Now my arthritic thumb is killing me and I am down to the last 2 rows or so and just can't keep going for today.

    Don't you just hate that???

I am ready to move on.

    Hello,

At times it can be so frustrating when our minds want to accomplish something and our bodies will not allow it! Hope your thumbs are doing better tomorrow!

I got the last 2 rows finished this morning, went out with my grandson for his birthday, came home and have started on the next afghan. Just have to rest the thumb.

I had completely given up crocheting for many years, but found my hands were getting worse by "not" crocheting, it keeps them moving. Just wish I could keep up with my wanting to finish things. Oh well, nice to be able to do it at all. I was at it all day long yesterday since I had the house to myself.

Hope you all have a good day hooking.

I've found that rather than work continually on a project for a long period of time, that if I work for a while and then take a short break for a few minutes that I can actually work longer overall during the day.

The short breaks help to relax the muscles resulting in less strain.

Aww Judi, I know how you feel in a way. I have Carpal Tunnel and Fibromyalgia so there are times, I just do not want to pick up my hook or needles. There are also times when I want to but can't because of the pain.

I'm glad you're feeling better now.
