    All thumbs today

Today hasn't been a good day to start a new project. Finally got a good foundation row but had miscounted the # needed and couldn't remove the extra stitches because the strands of yarn knotted up. Not funny! (except I can see humor in it now that I'm sharing). Then I started another pattern stitch and decided not to do it after all. Start, rip, start, rip, just not a good day.

The good news is I sold a sweater and she wants another one in aqua.

That's ok. Everybody is all thumbs or has a time when it is rip, stitch, rip , stitch at some time or other. It's nice to know I'm not the only one. Congrats on the sale of the sweater and the order for another one.

Hi Joyce! I had that problem the other day! I was trying to make an outfit for a 5" doll and it kept coming out too big! It was in a book of patterns for all different sized dolls, the size of hook and yarn determine the size! After 3 tries I gave up and made a dress with a different pattern! Some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statute!!! Am glad you sold a sweater! They are beautiful sweaters!

Hi Ooh-lala, had a peek at your lovely Etsy shop, couldn't find what type of yarn the items are made from. It's probably there as I am noted for not seeing what's under my nose!
    Love the aqua colour

The two sweaters that have sparkle are made from Red Heart's Shimmer. The white lacy open front sweater is I Love This Yarn sport weight. The white tube tee is Simply Soft, and the gray open front sweater is also Simply Soft. I'm going to recheck and make sure I put the yarns in there. Thanks for asking. Oh yeah, the teal shawl which in real life is darker than the picture shows, is also Simply Soft.
