    Cool Hello

    Hi,
Love to crochet. I learned to crochet from my grandmother when I was about 6 years old. (Now, I'm a grandmother!). Have made many afghans, pot holders, scarves, etc. I'm currently attempting to crochet socks. Frustrated with most of the directions! (I have a freakishly small, foot - 4 1/2 to 5), so most instructions entail way too much math!
Anybody out there know where to find a REALLY SIMPLE sock pattern for the mathematically, and small footed, challenged?

Hi! And welcome! Looking for childrens sized socks may be your best bet! My sister has very small feet as well and orders her shoes from a compnay that specializes in small shoes! Otherwise she ends up with sneakers that light up, or sandels that glow in the dark! I'm sure you have had similar problems! Glad you joined us!

Hello, and a thank you to all! Have since found a pattern on Ravelry.com. "Basic Toe-Up Socks" by Nicole Cormier. Have finished one and now working on the other! With just a small bit of revision, I now have a really great pattern! The pattern is clearly written, with no errors, and I had no difficulties! Best of all, it was free! I predict many more pairs will make their way to my daughter's and sister's sock drawer! The pattern is easily adjustable and the designer gives stitch numbers for each size. Wonderful!
Yes, to Maryjane, I do order from websites that offer smaller size shoes. I no longer have to wear light-up sneakers and glow-in-the dark flip-flops, unless I want to!
To those looking for a great sock pattern, try this one!
Again, thanks to you all. Glad to connect with other "crochetists".
