I just joined today but I've been crocheting on and off for 30 years or more. I used to be a member of other crocheting forums and I was so glad to find this one especially since most of the ones I participated in back then are gone. So thank you Crochettalk for being here for us.

Thank you! I crochet what I call chemo blankets. Several years ago, my husband was taking chemo here and each time he came home, he would talk about how cold it was in the place. I went with him one day, and he was right, it was very cold. I enjoy crocheting throws and giving them to people so I had the idea to crochet some and give them to the chemo patients. Last year I took about 20-30 down to the chemo center and gave them out. I received so many hugs from these people. That was payment enough for me although I wasn't charging for them anyway. I just enjoy doing it for them.
