Hello! I'm new and I need help with Baby Booties
Hello everyone,
I have been crocheting for a few years now and I'm currently working on a baby pattern that I'm having trouble with. The pattern is from Bernat.com and it's called Everyday set Bibs and Booties. I am currently working on the booties and there is this part which is confusing to me. It says:
Sew center back seam. With RS of work facing,
join A with sl st at center back. Ch 1. 1 sc in each
of next 7 sts. Work 5 sc down side of instep. 3 sc
in corner sc. 3 sc across end of instep. 3 sc in
corner sc. Work 5 sc along other side of instep.
1 sc in each of next 7 sts. Join with sl st to first st.
I guess the part I'm having trouble with is figuring out what part of my work is center back. If I new what are of my work it is talking about, then maybe I could continue. I'm curious if anyone else has had trouble with the pattern or I am probably still a beginner. Details would be helpful. I'm glad to have found a site where we can share our creativity. Thanks for your help!

Hello,
First of all, welcome to the group! It is nice to meet you and have you here! We are a group who loves to share and help each other. Today has been a little on the quiet side.
The center back is the seam which is on the bottom of the bootie, is it not? I have not done booties before, so others will be on site and help to confirm the instructions. I am the first to admit I am still learning different things about crochet.
Thank you for your patience - we all learn different things as we go. :0)

Hi! And welcome! The center back would be the seam you just sewed up! Hope that helps! Glad you joined us!

Anytime I've made booties or shoes finding the center back is. I fold the sole of bootie in half to get both the center back and center toe. The center back is where you start and put your sl, st. I hope you understand this, It's the best I can do. Good luck. x
