Hello - nice set up. I see you added a link back to Crochet Talk.

We can set up a sub-forum for you. Would you like it named Rody Designs?

Just let me know and I will let the admin know.

I think it looks great! I let my shop expire for the last couple of years to concentrate on my career, but one of these days plan to resurrect it. The lessons from my experience are 1) the single most important thing is the pictures. You do a great job with that. I do mostly amigurumi, therefore I include a common item in the photos to show size (usually a baseball). Another lesson is to use tags so that the items are picked up in searches. Think of every possibility and tag it or use the words in your titles and descriptions. E.G. I had a red white and blue striped elephant (don't ask me why). In the US, that matters come 4th of July. Thus, I tagged "independence," "holiday gift," ... that sort of thing. It worked. Because they're toys, I always pointed out they make great baby shower gifts, etc. It definitely makes a difference, which you can see in statistics of who's viewing you goods after you add new tags. If you put in the time and effort to monitor and update frequently, you'll be rewarded. Well done

    Rody Designs

Hi Rody, I too have recently opened an Etsy shop and am curious about how you price your items. I have been told many times that the pricing should be calculated by adding up the cost of the supplies then multiply that times 3. Is that what you do?
