i like to know where all of those people are, because where i live it is only me. and when i ask people do they want to learn to crochet? they say they are too busy or they do not have the tolerance for the craft. what a shame

I live in a rural area. There are a large number of spinners, weavers, knitters & quilters in my area but I have yet to meet a crocheter. Even the 4-H project I ran called Working With Wool dealt exclusively with knitting. I'd like to develop a 4-H project for crocheting.

Interesting statistics! We live in a very rural area as well! I know of a few craft groups in the area, but none specifically for crocheting! Or knitting!
