Hello My name Terri or missed a stitch

Wondering is someone can help me with a crochet pattern problem.I have had hardest time finding patterns for lacy or open weave for a skirt. The ones I've found are too complicated for me.Yes I am a beginner.I can't read charts because I can see well enough.I wish I could find patterns with chart and written directions plus tutorial but they are hard to find.
So,I ran across this pattern believe it or not that I can crochet for a shawl.
This is my problem.I want to use this pattern in a skirt.Probably will do 3-4 rows of single crochet at top of skirt. Then I need to find a way to increase this pattern evenly so it be bigger at bottom.
    Here are directions:
    Ch 182
    ROW 1
    Sc into 2 nd ch
    Sc next ch
    Ch 3 sk 3 do v- stitch 1 DC ch 2 1 DC
    Ch 3 skip 3 ( sc next 3
    Sc last 2 ch turn=18(ch 2 spaces

I can add more of pattern if needed.
Multiple of 13 chains I think
Not sure if possible to inc here or to go further down pattern?
All help will be appreciated so much.
    Thank you.

    Hi missedastitch,
Welcome. If I'm reading this right then row1 of this pattern is the bottom of the skirt. If you have 18 ch2 spaces at the end of row1, you could increase in the 18 ch2 spaces (2, 3, 6 or 9 times - 6x3=18, 9x2=18) before starting the next row.
