    Question Pricing

How do you go about pricing items crocheted? I read once that it was three times the price of the yarn? Does this still stand? Our group of crochet/knitters have been asked to 're'create' some afgans made by his mother. We told him to buy the yarn and we could do this but had no idea what to charge him. He has asked for no less that five different patterns, mostly granny squares. Any help out there with this? thanks

I do not know.... I use very cheap old thread. But crocheting the bedspread takes time. Do you think time costs anything?

Hmm, it used to be double the price of yarn. I am sure with the way things have gone up, three times the price of yarn would be good. There have been discussions in the forum on this:
