    Question Need advice

Hubby & I are hosting a conference in NOLA next May & I want to crochet something for the wives. Thinking about coasters with a fleur de lis on them plus the date & conference acronym. For a coaster to "work", it should be flat so would it be better to just sew the yarn into the coaster after it's already made or incorporate the pattern in as I'm crocheting it in the first place? (Does this make sense?) Anyone have an easy pattern or suggestions?

Hello and welcome to the crochet forums!! It is a pleasure to have you here as a member!!

Please make yourself at home here among crochet friends!!

How many are you needing to make and how much time do you have? If you are in a pinch, you could add yarn crocheted edging.

Sounds interesting. May I ask what NOLA means?
Hello all you new ones and all I have missed. I have just returned and I am so glad to see you here as a newbe. Welcome to the greatest crochet-Knit place on the net. (my opinion) I love it. Charlye

Thank you for the reply. NOLA stands for New Orleans, Louisiana (LA)
