Scroll or pinwheel circles - Love them but what to do with them?

I've been working on learning to do these neat scroll/pinwheel looking circles. I LOVE THEM! But, not sure how to use them. Crocheting around them to make a squared border is not coming easy to me. Any suggestions?Scroll or pinwheel circles - Love them but what to do with them?-scroll-jpg

    Hello,

I think these are really cute! You could use them in a decoration. If you make a longer version of them, you could add them to a couch cover border. I also wondered if there is a way to add a hook on the end of it and add a small picture frame. May sound like some weird ideas, but they were the first to come to my mind.

How cute! How about joining them together for a scarf? Fashion scarves seem to be "in" now!

They would not only make a beautiful border, but if you vary the size of the sections of pinwheels that you make, you could end up with an absolutely gorgeous shawl!

Start with smaller pinwheels around the top (neck) and gradually make them larger as you move towards the bottom.

I would keep on making them and then stitch them together to form either a scarf or even a throw. Really a nice pattern.

Love your pinwheels. My thoughts were to make a valance with them. Georgeous colors.

You can make shorter ones for bookmarks and put as tassels on one end. Some people cut a sweatshirt down the middle to turn it into a cardigan. After you turn back and stitch the cut edge, you can slip stitch the crocheted pinwheels on each side of the cardigan for a trim. You can decorate the neckline of a plain t-shirt with them. There are tons of things you can do if you use your imagination.

    Barb,
Your idea about the hook is not weird, these pinwheels sort of mimic hooks. Hooks to hang hats, baby items, towels, etc. Love the pinwheels and love your hook idea.

By the way...is this pattern available as a free download or for purchase?
