    Hi, from jjorash!

I'm new to this website and fairly new to crocheting--I only learned 3 years ago...and I love it! I live overseas, so internet connections are important to me. For the past couple of weeks, I've been home in the states to see my first grandbaby. He had a blanket that his great grandmother had made (tho she is long dead). It was crocheted, but I have never seen these stitches before. I would like to know how to make it.

Hello and welcome to the crochet forums! We are glad you are here as a member!

Please make yourself at home and let us know if you need anything!

I am not sure of the stitch. I have been looking online for something very close to it.

This is the only thing I have found so far which is knitted:

Welcome to the forums. Glad to have you here. The stitch looks like some variation of a shell stitch and it shouldn't be hard to duplicate. If I run across it, I'll be sure to post back here.

This looks like the Project Linus Box Stitch carriage robe but with 2dc instead of 3dc. Scroll down in the link to Box Stitch Carriage Robe and maybe that may help. Closest I could find to it.

Hello and welcome from Pa. Nice to have you with us. I would say it is some sort of a shell stitch

Welcome to this wonderful group of ladies (and some men). Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I have no idea what that pretty stitch is, but someone will help you to figure it out I am sure. There is lot of knowledge on here! XOXOXOXO, Patty/redhead

Welcome to the group! I'm not sure about the stitch, although it's beautiful.
