Free money?

In the paper this morning there was an article about an armored truck that was in an accident and apparently there were clear plastic bags of money laying along the highway! People were stopping and scooping up money! Would you pick up the money? It would be very tempting, but I don't think I would! From an early age I knew that you had to work for what you got out of life-that nothing would be handed to you!

I saw that in the paper. The article didn't say that anyone had actually returned the money to the truck driver. or the police. They just grabbed it for themselves.

This is almost like the chicken and the egg story. When I was in high-school I found some money. I gave it to my form room teacher and he told me that IF no one claims it, the money would be mine. In the end the money was never CLAIMED yet it was 'lost' in the staff room. So who benefited from that money? Now, would the armed truck driver get some credit for the money being returned? Yet that little voice in the back of my head would say: You didn't work for it, that's not yours.
