I have been crocheting for many years and ran into some really classic patterns but I don't know where to get the thread to make them so I started the "classic" search and found Crochet talk as well as the patterns I was looking for. They were printed in a booklet in 1954 and are still available, but I haven't found the source for the supplies needed. The patterns are for the Wrought Iron pieces in black "art" threads.

I have found that when money is tight, crochet is a great way for making the gifts for Christmas, birthdays or special occasions. It's fun and fast and there are few patterns out there that I haven't been able to figure out. Highlighters are my best friends when following a complicated pattern. I highlight the part of the pattern I am working on with a different color than the step before so I can readily find my spot without confusion.

Happy Crocheting
