Hi, Marlo !! My name is Mike and I am also new to the craft and totally love it. My new motto in life has become, "Go where the yarn takes you!"
How did you get started? For me it was when I came across a how-to site when looking for something else entirely. I gave it a try and never looked back.Go where the yarn takes you!!

I love your motto! I may have to borrow that from time to time! I tried to crochet a long time ago & just couldn't get it. I just decided to try again and this time I actually caught on! I still have trouble changing colors so I make everything with verigated yarn lol! If you have any helpful hints I'd love to read them. I'm happy to meet you, thank you!

I prefer filet pieces and I am sure variegated thread will eat pattern. I prefer white color for doilies... Do you have a cat? I have 5 birds

Good morning, Marlo
I am likewise happy to met you!! I usually stick to changing colors at the end of a row. That works out well for me because I stick with squares and rectangles. Also, avoid the Magic Knot. It is completely unreliable.Go where the yarn takes you!!
