i am new to crochet and am excited about future projects. i learned in order to make something special for my first born (daughter), and of course the next two boys had to have something special as well. I am currently looking to start a project for my daughter's room (twin bed) since she has outgrown the baby blanket that I made 4 years ago. I have not used any specific patterns before and am not sure how to put stitches together. In the shop where I get my yarn, there is a beautiful blanket using the single crochet stitch and adding a cross-over stitch. I have been experimenting with learning the cross-over stitch and am not sure how to get started on this project. I found this site while looking for a simple pattern to get started. I look forward to learning from those who enjoy it as much as I do.

Welcome to the forum! There are many tutorials on this site! Not sure if there's one for the cross stitch! If not, youtube has a lot of video tutorials! And I'm sure somebody here will know where to find it! Anyway, I made ripple stitch afghans for my grandchildren who have moved to a "big" bed! I'm sure you will enjoy this site!
