Hi everyone! newbie to site, not crocheting.....finally

3rd times the charm, as they say. Mom tried to teach me when I was younger, but it didn't take. Tried again few years later with 'learn how' book, did better but too busy to sink in good. Voila, third time, sunk in,,lol. Have done some small projects, including several fancy book marks, a couple of filet family names, and picture frame mats. On looking at other books and pictures, I got a question of whether to hook in the front free loop or both front and back loops in body of project (used front free loop so far)....... it's not clearly stated anywhere. Yes I'm still learning!
Thanks in advance for any help available.

    Hello,

Welcome to the group! If I am understanding your question correctly, when I turn my work - I usually work into what would be considered the front stitches (away from me) on top. I hope this answers your question. Hope you enjoy the group!

Hello and welcome to the forum! Usually the pattern will tell you if you should use just the front loop. Otherwise you would use both loops. At least that's the way I do it! Have fun making your afghan!
