So glad you joined us. I am behind on my welcomes so today I am trying to catch up. I have only been on here since Feb but I am crazy about it. Everyone is so helpful and wonderful I don't think it will take you long to start enjoying it like I do. Do you crochet, or what is your passion in crafts? I crochet mostly but I am getting back to knitting again, it has been a very long time for me so I have to work on my tension. I am working dish clothes until I get control of my tension some more. I used to make sweaters and all kind of baby thing w/ knit. I got away from it but I am trying again. They help with knitting and crocheting on here so that helps a lot. Jump right in and join us we are glad you are here.

Hello, I am from Ohio and have been crocheting a little over a year. I just made a teddy bear for my youngest grandson's first birthday this past weekend. He loved it. I am disabled and crocheting is so relaxing for me. I do other crafts as well. i go to some craft shows to try and sell my crafts just to make a little extra income. I taught myself to crochet by using a beginner book and cd. I am so glad I found this site. I have met so many wonderful people and have made a lot of new friends.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes. Yes I have been crocheting since I was 5, knitting as well, taught to me by my grandmother. Grew up kind of poor so I made a lot of my own clothes, knitting my first sweater at the age of 9. I stumbled into designing patterns when I was in high school, so I have carried this passion for many years. I retired from my paying job back in 2011 and have been designing full time since then. I love crafts and probably have tried every craft there is. I sculpt babies out of polymer clay and I love making their little accessories using crochet and knitting.
